FastBooking, the internet hotel booking expert, has confirmed its expansion policy with regard to the North American market by appointing Arnaud Fantapié as its US Development Manager.
42 year-old Arnaud Fantapié is an E.D.C. business school graduate, with nineteen years experience in both the Hotel Management and Business Development sector, as well as a thorough knowledge of North American culture.
He began his career in 1988 as Sector Manager for Grosfillex, furniture distributors for the hotel and restaurant trade, and only a year later was appointed Hotel Manager of the Pirate Beach Hotel, St. Martin. He went on to become Sales and Development Manager for the Holiday Inn in Paris, Nantes and Strasbourg before taking up the post of Manager at the Golf Hotel de Kempferhof in Alsace.
In 1998 he joined the industrial product distributor Würth Group, with responsibility for sales development in the Alsace-Lorraine region. He brought a strong sense of customer service culture to the company, acquired during his years in the hotel business, and in 2000 was appointed Sales Manager of the Canadian branch, becoming its Chief Executive Officer a year later.
In 2004 he joined the Flo Group as International Director in charge of multibrand development throughout Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the USA.
During this time on a number of occasions, Arnaud Fantapié met FastBooking’s co-founder and CEO Thierry Lamblin. Based on a common passion for the hotel business, a liking for challenges and a culture of customer service, Arnaud was a natural choice in the context of FastBooking’s rapid international growth.
Arnaud Fantapié will be taking over the two existing FastBooking branches, in the USA and Canada. Not only will he consolidate the company’s development on the North American market, he will also ensure a more effective follow-up of its current client portfolio through geographical proximity and improved support.
