FastBooking India achieves CMMI Level 3 certification
Paris – April 8, 2010 – FastBooking, one of the foremost providers of advanced technology
solutions and e-marketing services for the hospitality industry, announces Capability Maturity
Model Integration (CMMI) Level 3 certification for its Indian operations.
“This certification is an important achievement for us,” says Ajay Wahi, Fastbooking India
Managing Director. ”It’s a very clear statement of our commitment to product quality, production
efficiency, and the ability to reduce associated costs.”
CMMI is a software development process improvement approach which has become the standard
for measuring an organization's capability to apply a process based methodology to software
development. This approach integrates the entire spectrum of software evelopment including
software engineering, testing, and project management. CMMI helps integrate traditionally
separate organizational functions, set process improvement goals and priorities, provide guidance
for quality processes, and provide a point of reference for appraising current processes.
“There are many benefits to implementing CMMI process improvements, both internally and for our
clients,” adds Francois Maine, FastBooking Chief Technology Officer. “Schedule and budget
predictability are improved, cycle time improves, productivity increases. We have a better return on
investment. The end result is that CMMI improves quality which leads to increased customer
satisfaction.”
